March: It's Time to Welcome the Light
Hello, and a warm welcome from both of us,
At last, we’re starting to notice signs of Spring—and one of the first is the rapidly increasing amount of daylight. Hopefully you’re able to walk your dog while there’s still daylight, at least on some days now. If so, I suspect you’ve noticed the lift it gives you, and how other people are more likely to greet you and smile while you’re out and about.
This month Caroline and I are writing about how valuable it is for both you and your dog to be aware of and—as far as possible—respect the daily rhythm of darkness to light and back to darkness.
In my first offering, I’ll be spelling out not only the psychological benefits of natural light, but why it’s also so important to be respectful of the sunset each day. That way, not only will you enjoy greater wellbeing when you’re awake, but you’ll sleep better as well.
In my second blog, I’m going to share a secret. It’s about how you can use early mornings to create a special time, a time that’s just for you.
Caroline, with her focus as ever on our dogs, how you can embrace the light together.
In closing, let’s all give a cheer for the coming of Spring. Now more than ever is the time to respect the coming of darkness and welcome in the light that will follow.
Until next time, all the best,
Linda and Caroline
